Divco Discussion Forum > Rims for ModelĀ 15
Mr Hill- If you could give me more info about the rims(width, diameter, tire size, number of holes) that could be helpful. I have a model 11, 1950 with split rims that I don't plan on using. Send an email and let me know what you have going.
Thank you for the responce....... I've located a custom wheel company in Florida that is taking the center hubs out and mounting them into new "hoops" making them "modern" as far as tire mounting goes , eleminating the split or two piece rim arrangement.
I'm looking to do the same with my split rims, (weld modern mounting "hoops" to the divco centers) I wonder if there is a way to figure out what rim they used to provide the donor "hoop". I measure the outside of the divco Center to be about 15.25" and I'd like to avoid cutting it down further if I could.
I wonder if you have this info or if I could get it from the people that did your rims in Florida/
Cheers,
-Luigi
Luigi .... bad news... the "wheel-guys" in Florida can not get the hub properly centered in the new rim...... it wobbles .... however , there is a company in California that "makes" new rims for Divco's .... the refreshing part is the owner of the shop knows exactly what a Divco is. I have ordered a set for my Model 15 , will post a critique and contact as soon as they come in.....
Stockton in California... rims are quality and look great on the Divco.... to the casual observer ( non-Divco maniacs like us) they look old and origional........ great rims ! and the best part is they are modern and the local tire shop doesn't run backwards when I come in for some tire work !!!

What about replacement rims for the Model 15.... What are the options... my old rims look to be shot ( i.e. rusted beyond repair) and I need to look at replacements.....maybe a non-two piece rim.
